Navigating the Jesus Youth Path: Steps, Tools, and Guiding Principles

The Jesus Youth movement is a vibrant response to the call of discipleship in today’s world—a movement of young people, families, and communities living a Christ-centered life marked by joy, fellowship, and mission. Rooted in personal encounter with Jesus, nurtured in prayer, sacraments, and the Word, and expressed in bold missionary outreach, Jesus Youth offers a holistic spiritual journey. This journey is built upon key pillars, stages of growth, community dynamics, and characteristic expressions that guide individuals and communities to flourish in faith and fruitfulness. What follows is a roadmap of the foundational steps and points that shape the life of a Jesus Youth, offering vision and structure for personal and collective spiritual formation.


The JY 6 pillars – Faith Habits - Essential JY Spirituality

1. Quiet time for PRAYER

2. Regular reading and meditating on the WORD OF GOD

3. SACRAMENTS – Participation in the life of the Church

4. Regular FELLOWSHIP with people active in the Lord

1. We regularly experience God’s love in prayer and group adoration.

2. Reflecting on and sharing God’s Word fuels growth.

4. HELP THEM IN SELF-DISCOVERY: They are individuals needing growth, unique persons. Give confidence and encourage initiative.

5. HELP THEM BE PART OF A NEW MOVE: Give them new friends, a new culture, and a movement to which they belong. Introduce them to cells and networking.
